He's Backl!

Tysen Dowzak is coming back to the Kelowna Rockets. The New York Rangers informed the Rockets he will be returning to the WHL despite signing a entry level NHL contract. Dowzak now joins Kris Lazaruk as the two overage players on the Rockets roster this season. Dowzak will be in the lineup Saturday against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

And none too soon.

I believe his presence at the blue line will not only add much needed vet leadership to the defense, but it will pay dividends in Feb and March when the long season starts to wear on the players who have been logging a ton of mins.

I just hope he see's this move in a positive light, and that he understands he has an opportunity to help a good hockey club become one of the premier clubs in the dub.

Awesome news.

In other Rockets alumni news, Mitch Fritz made his NHL debut tonight at the age of 27 with the NY Islanders.
