Jersey Auction Results

Close to 8 thousand dollars was raised last night from the auctioning off of the Kelowna Packers jersey's worn by the Rockets. Jamie Benn's jersey fetched the highest bid, at close to 2 thousand dollars. All the proceeds from the auction go directly to the Central Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame.

I had the privilege of attending this mornings induction ceremony and spoke to defenseman Harry Smith:

CBC Hockey Night in Canada's Scott Oake and Kelly Hrudey were there. The induction ceremony will be seen during the second intermission of the second game Saturday night on Hockey Night in Canada. Oake will wear a Packers jersey after Rockets GM Bruce Hamilton bid 500 dollars with the stipulation that Oake wear the jersey on Hockey Night in Canada.
