Brett Bulmer...a 3rd rounder?

NHL Central Scouting has released it's final ratings of the players eligible for this summers NHL draft. Kelowna Rockets forward Brett Bulmer is projected to be selected in the third round and is rated 65th among North American skaters.
What makes Bulmer's ranking so interesting is the Prince George resident moved to 65th after being earmarked at 164th at Central Scoutings mid term rankings.
Rockets defenceman Antoine Corbin made some strides in the final half of the season. After not being rated, Corbin is now ranked 171st.
Defenceman Mitchell Chapman dropped from 151st to 193rd among North American skaters.
The NHL draft is this summer in Los Angeles.

Bulmer deserves the rating, there's tonns of potental in this kid... now if we can just teach him how to find the back of the net in the playoffs!! Great to see Corbin hasn't been overlooked... He looks like a young Shea Weber out there... Congrads to all three!!
Regan what's your early prediction for McC next year?

He has to grow. He is listed at a generous 5'10. Size matters at the NHL level no matter how skilled you are. Look at Justin Feser of the Americans. He is 5'9 (McColgan's height right now) and scored 36 goals as a 17 year-old. Feser is rated 177th. That's maybe a late 6th to early 7th round pick. I will have a better read on McColgan when I see him next fall. Will he be drafted? That's a given.

I suppose there's always an exception to the rule. I think there's some 5'9" kid trying to crack Buffalo's lineup right now...some kid named "Ennis" or something... :) You'll never see him walking side by side with Myers...:)

That Ennis kid ain't bad eh!!! He's a first rounder. Good example of a guy that is 5'9 and can still be picked in the opening round. 26th overall.
