Rockets game notes vs. Blazers

Tonight’s Preview: The Kelowna Rockets are meeting the Kamloops Blazers for the 7th of nine times this season. The Rockets are 2-1-0-0 at home and 1-2-0-0 at the Interior Savings Centre. The only win on the road came in a 5-2 victory back on November 3rd. The Rockets have lost the last two times in this building, having been out-scored 9-1. In the seasonal series the Rockets have out-scored the Blazers 25-18. With ten games left in the regular season for the Rockets, they will face the Blazers three times in the next ten days. The Blazers make their final appearance at Prospera Place on March 12th. In the big picture, this is the Rockets fifth straight game on the road after a four game Central Division road trip last week. The Rockets were 3-1-0-0 in those four games. The Rockets are back on home ice Friday hosting Chilliwack before welcoming Lethbridge Saturday.

Rockets recent game: Geordie Wudrick scored the game winning goal for the second straight outing as the Rockets beat Calgary Saturday night with a 4-3 overtime victory. Wudrick tied the game late in the third period before ending it while playing four-on-four. Line-mate Colton Sissons had a goal and two assists as the Rockets won for the 36th time this season. Calgary out-shot Kelowna 27-21. Adam Brown made 24 saves as the Rockets went 0 for 4 on the power play.

Who’s Hot: Colton Sissons has 12 points (5+7=12) in his last seven games….Geordie Wudrick has 11 points (7+4=11) in his last seven games. Brett Bulmer has points in eleven of his last 15 games…Tyson Barrie hasn’t scored in 17 games. his longest scoring drought of his career. Barrie didn’t score in 15 consecutive games as a WHL rookie in 2007-2008.
