Rockets game notes vs. Blazers

Tonight’s Preview: The Kelowna Rockets are meeting the Kamloops Blazers for the 8th of nine games this season. The Rockets are 4-3-0-0 against the Blazers in the first seven games, but the Rockets have won the last two meetings by scores of 8-1 and 6-2. This is the start of three games in three nights for the Rockets, who host the Blazers Saturday before traveling to Chilliwack on Sunday. Five of the final six games of the season are against teams in the BC Division. The Rockets enter tonight’s tilt having won six of their last seven games. Over that period the Rockets have out-scored their opponent 22-12. The Rockets are gunning for their 40th win of the season against the Blazers. It would mark the 8th time in franchise history the team has 40 plus wins.

Rockets recent game: The Rockets received a goal and an assist each from Evan Bloodoff and Mitchell Callahan in a 3-1 win Wednesday night over the visiting Tri City Americans. Geordie Wudrick scored his team leading 39th goal of the season. The Rockets were 1 for 4 on the power play while giving up the lone goal on a second period power play chance by the Americans.
