Rockets game notes vs. Oil Kings



Tonight’s Preview: The Kelowna Rockets play game three of a five game home stand tonight when they host the Edmonton Oil Kings. These two teams have met twice this season. The Rockets were a 2-0 winner on home ice back on November 9th before falling 4-2 on January 8th in Edmonton. Jordon Cooke picked up the shutout in the first game before Oil Kings goaltender Tristan Jarry was the story in the January contest making 43 saves. This is the start of four games against what would be considered legitimate teams challenging for an Ed Chynoweth Cup. The Rockets enter tonight’s game having won 27 of their last 32 games overall and 36 of their last 42 games. The Rockets host Victoria tomorrow night before welcoming Seattle Monday afternoon (2 pm). The team is back on the road Wednesday in Spokane to face the Chiefs.

Dare to Compare: The Rockets have scored 14 more goals then the Oil Kings, who have allowed five fewer against. Edmonton has played one fewer game. The Rockets have 13 players with 20 or more points.
